Service Includes

• On-site attendance to assess all smoke alarms at the property
• Visual inspection and functional testing of each alarm to ensure they are correctly located and operating as required
• Removal of dust and debris from alarms and nearby areas to help maintain reliable performance
• Battery replacement (9V) where necessary
• Recording of each alarm’s position, model type, approximate age, and overall condition for maintenance records

If any smoke alarms are found to be faulty or past their service life, we can supply and install replacements during the same visit at an additional cost. If interconnection of smoke alarms is required, our licensed electrician can assess the property and provide a quotation on site.

• The service includes replacement of up to two (2) 9V batteries, if required.
• The standard smoke alarm inspection allows for up to 60 minutes on site.
• This service does not apply to smoke alarms connected to fire indicator panels or Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS), commonly installed in apartment complexes and commercial properties. These systems are not inspected, serviced, or replaced under this offer. An attendance fee of $99 may be charged if we are incorrectly sent to these sites.

Service Includes

• Technician attends the property and safely removes the switchboard cover
• Visual check of wiring associated with each safety switch (RCD)
• Verification that power supply is present
• Manual trip test using the built-in test button, followed by system reset
• Electronic testing using a calibrated RCD testing device
• Confirmation that each safety switch operates within required limits
• Reset of all tested devices and refitting of the switchboard cover on completion

If any safety switches do not pass testing, replacements can be supplied and installed during the same visit once customer approval is provided.

• If a safety switch does not meet testing requirements and needs replacement, our electrician can complete the replacement during the same appointment, subject to customer approval. Replacement pricing is as follows (inc. GST):
• 1 safety switch: $110 inclusive of GST
• 2 safety switches: $209 inclusive of GST
• 3 safety switches: $299 inclusive of GST
• 4 safety switches: $379 inclusive of GST

• Testing and verification of RCD safety switches
• Visual inspection of the overall electrical installation
• Assessment of power points and light switches for condition and safety
• Smoke alarm inspection*: test operation, and record location, type, age, condition, and compliance
• Examination of all existing light fittings for safety and condition
• Earth resistance testing, including checking the earth stake and tagging
• Comprehensive written report with photographs highlighting any hazards and recommended repairs
